Hi
I am driving on an approx 20 mile route to pick people up from different places, then driving back past where I live to go out (my turn to drive).
Anyone know of a website where I can put all the postcodes in and it will work out the optimum route to get me from A to B?
RAC.CO.UK doesnt seem to work out the via's in an optimum way
Cheers

I used to have to plan routes for picking up people... If you have to do it yourself its usually easiest to start with the furthest away and work your way backwards... sometimes you cannot avoid backtracking and going round in circles... hope it works out...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

LOL looks like it is still a major problem. I thought TomTom et al would have it sorted by now.
Any other suggestions?0 -
Autoroute will solve it, although you'll have to buy a copy0

I was looking to find a way of doing this myself a few months ago, and came across a great solution. I downloaded a piece of Freeware software called ITN Converter v1.63 from here: hxxp://benitools.info/itnconv.zip
Run it, select editor from the right hand side of the screen, towards the bottom and a new screen loads. at the top of the the screen in the search box type in your start destination, then all the other stops on the route you wish to make. When you have done this you will see a little alarm clock type symbol at the bottom of the left hand side of the screen click this and it automatically optimises your route for you. you can now export the info for use with your sat nav or keep the list of your optimised route as a text document.
Hope this helps

Tom Tom and Garmin etc. have 'solved' it. At least they sell Sat Navs that will plan an optimum route for multiple pick ups except they're the expensive top end ones. It's my problem, it's my problem
