    no i shouldn't.

because despite what many of the HPC ghetto believe that by bumping the same thread repeatedly about a 0.5% fall on a monthly index or making up that prices have fallen derived from a RICS report will sway peoples thinking - it only makes them look even more desperate than they look already...
It's a good job you are always here to correct these anomalies. If these bears keep posting doom stuff without your corrections who knows what might happen? I salute you sir, as a defender of this forum.

One of the things that concerns me is

OK, I`ll spell it out for you.

    You typed.......

"demanding lower house prices on a forum ain't going to happen."

I (admittedly, being a little pedantic) replied, saying that it is happening (which clearly, it is).

You still disagreed with my claim.

So i`ll type what you should have typed.......

demanding lower house prices on a forum ain`t going to make it happen.

    Got it now ?

I suppose if you can`t beat them, join them.......

If you think that it`s a good thing that house prices will rise, or that you think house prices will rise, why don`t you just go and buy as many houses as you can ? Tell you what, I`ll start by selling you mine for 3 x local salary.

    See ? That`s a bit c**p really, isn`t it ?
i never once said on that post house prices will rise - you made that bit up...

and as for buying as many as i can - i did...

Dear oh dear. I was begining to think that I might be having some reasonable debates, discussions and arguments with you. All you seem to be doing now is typing things that don`t make much sense or taking things to the extreme. This behaviour is a tad childish.
so you're assumption is a bit rubbish... not to worry...

do you want to start again and actually answer the question...

so you're telling me what i should have typed... right... is that how you think forums work. you tell everyone what to type?

ahhh... you're want this to be like HPC.co.uk where you only want like minded people on the forum... nice one but people are bit more intelligent on this side...

Not at all. I want to debate/argue topics of interest. I want to be able to understand what other forum users are typing. I don`t expect perfect spelling, punctuation etc. I want some banter, humour, and even a few (slightly heated) arguments.

I don`t expect people to tell me what I`m thinking or wanting. I try my best to convey that through my posts. I don`t tell anyone what they are thinking (as you seem to), I hope they can put their thoughts and opinions into understandable text.

For an example of the points I have just made, read your last paragraph.

i've corrected it for you... i hope that it's all ok for you now...

you're starting to show that typcial character trait where the poster cannot reply to the points made to him so he decides to point out grammer, spelling mistakes or anything that he can do so he doesn't have to answer the original points made to him...

i thought that you were better than that...

    Sorry to dissapoint you.

A couple of things though. I can`t see the correction you claim to have made. If you`d like to give me examples of any points that have been made to me that I might have avoided, then I`ll be only too happy to reply to them. I can assure you that I don`t have a character trait that makes me avoid any points. Obviously I`m not going to answer every post directed towards me, but I certainly won`t ignore or deflect from anything that I might be wrong on, or have difficulty arguing against.

Yes, but you have implied that I cannot reply to some points made to me. I`ll ask you again, point them out and I`ll answer them. Honestly, I`d like to, that`s why I`m here.

No, i`m not going to sell you my house at 3 x local salary. And I`m not going to buy one of yours either.
