Life Assurance Problem

I have just been onto my Life Assurance company to review my (joint) LA (due to extended borrowing on our mortgage). Whilst going through the fairly normal & mundane questions the guy I was talking to said there was a "restriction" on my DH. Further down the line he was able to "open" the restriction & said it was due to DH living or working abroad for a period of time. I immediately pointed out that he has never done either the chap said I think you have been paying £3 extra for that then skirted the issue & moved on.

Thinking about it after this equates to £108 (3 years). Do I have any recourse? Is it worth writing or should we have checked more closely? It is easy to prove that he has never lived or worked out of the UK - simpliest way? No valid passport!!! :rotfl:

Thoughts welcome!
NEVER ASSUME!
