MBNA interest charge on free interest

On an MBNA card I got offered a 3 month 0% balance transfer with no fee. So took this up as a great snoozing opportunity.
Met all the payments on time.
Last statement came, stating if balance still outstanding, £191 interest would be applied. So paid the balance off in full, ensuring that it got there in plenty of time before the due date.
Statement has arrived today showing an interest charge of £69, when this was queried, got told the this was 8 days worth of interest, but I am sure there was nothing on the statement telling me that I had to pay before the due date in order to not pay interest.
Any advice??

Special offers on MBNA (and MBNA run) cards always end on a statement date...NOT a payment due date.
The interest you have been charged is for the time between your end of offer statement date and the date the payment cleared on to your account.0 -
Thanks YB - so nothing I can do then?
On other cards this was clear - it was not on this one.0 -
You could call them and query it, but I wouldn't think they'll reimburse it to be honest.
If it's not crystal clear from the T&C's when a special offer ends (whether it be an introductory or other special offer as you've been given), you should ask a CSA.
There's a useful telephone call checklist on the stoozing site here...

Whilst it's more for the activation call, it can easily be tweaked for any special offer you're given on a card.0 -
Thanks for the tip - I will bear this in mind in future!!!0
