Ikea - as **** as ever

Mr Skint - I do feel so so so sorry for you, if you live close to the Bristol Ikea. That is the one I USED to use. Come off the M32, traffic is then a nightmare, nose to tail, everyone trying to get round the roundabout, traffic merging from all directions. What a stupid place to put a store, especially when you have a big 24hour Tesco next door & small roads.
I hate Ikea, I hate the roads round by it. Bristol Council are bunch of loons to put an Ikea there. (It was the old dog track and before that Bristol football ground).
You have my sympathy...Move!

Only a few thousand miles, could do a turn around flight in a few days, as long as you can get a Saudi visa

Sorry OP couldn't resist, I used to pass the one off the M6 at Birmingham quite regularly, and the queue to get in was enough to put me off :eek:0 -

I used to live right next door to the Wednesbury Ikea. Its busy at weekends but mega quiet in the week. Saying that, even at weekends the only problem was the queues at the tills. I personally have never had any problems at Ikea."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -
I've visited the ikea at lakeside on numerous occasions and can only praise the service we've had.
On one occassion the stock we wanted was on a high shelf and they couldn't get a fork lift into get it down until the store had closed. They gave us free food and drink until we could get our bits and had it all sorted within seconds of the store closing.
I've never had a problem with any of their items - always had all the bits in the boxes and the staff have always been more than happy to help. I suppose it's just the luck of the draw."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Please don't spoil the fun we're having by starting to be nice about Ikea.Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here!

Mr Skint
You have my sympathy also.
I refuse to go in that damn place but they made me once in my previous job. Hours I was there walking round to get to the bit we wanted (with a client). Then when we found stuff half of it was too high to reach
Then they managed to deliver a bed with bit missing so it left the poor bloke bedless. I was the one that had to 'negotiate' with them on the phone to get them to pick up wrong parts and deliver right parts.
I can't see how its saving money to shop in Ikea at all. The prices may be cheap but so are some other places and they don't have terrible customer service, deliver wrong goods and make you walk round a warehouse for hours to find stuff.
Ikea has made the whole of that area a traffic nightmare. Oh sorry I forgot they paid to improve the traffic system as part of the deal didn't they
I moved out of somewhere not too far from where they built it before they did thank god as that was my nearest supermarket or I'd have had to either walk or join the traffic queues from hell to shop.I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
