    It sounds like you have your finances firmly in control and are just trying to build your credit record. It's worth bearing in mind that you can setup a direct debit to pay your credit card in full each month - this avoids forgetting to pay or making late payments and incuring charges/poor credit record.

    Whilst you cannot get cashback from supermarkets, you can withdraw cash at cash machines but you would be charged a handling fee and an especially high interest rate for the borrowed cash - best avoided at all costs.

    Beware that some purchases (like gambling transactions) are treated as cash advances and therefore incur additional charges.

    If using for overseas transactions, beware currency conversion charges and less than favourable exchange rates. Some cards (Nationwide for one) do not charge a currency conversion fee.
