Hi,

I was hoping somebody could give me some information on how I would go about switching from Talk Talk back to BT.

I still use BT for my line rental, but a couple of years ago I switched to Talk Talk for my calls because some of my friends were with Talk Talk, so I would get free calls to them.

Now they have left Talk Talk I've decided I would be better switching back to BT to get free evening calls, however I don't know how I go about making the switch back, do I have to contact BT or Talk Talk, or both?

I have tried emailing them both to ask, but I got a reply from BT saying they don't understand the question, and Talk Talk have not replied.

Thanks for reading,

Julie

Thankfully, you are using Talk Talk as your CPS (Carrier PreSelect calls provider) and, as such, should be able to switch back to BT or to another CPS calls provider without cost.

As you'll see if you click the HERE link in my signature below, I recommend Primus Saver Option 2 but, of course, BT's Unlimited Evenings & Weekend Plan (formerly BT Together Option 2) is a rough equivalent and is also free if you agree to a 'rolling' 12 month contract.

Contact the provider you wish to change to (there's no need to tell Talk Talk, the new provider will do that)..
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

We're thinking of doing the same, but we also have Tiscali broadband (£15 a month), would it be wise to move everything onto BT (primus saver op)?

Thanks, and apologise for the 'thread hijack'!!!
