I paid off my catalogue debts :) In September I owed £800 on various debts, and now it's nothing. Doesn't seem like a lot but I was out of work for 6 months and I'm a student. Feels great :)

    Well done Nicolefury :T

Does anyone have any ideas on which site would be the best place to list books as I've listed them on Ebay in the past but the fees seem to be a bit high!

    Good luck everyone :)

Have you tried selling them on Amazon, you normally get more for your books and they can stay listed on there for as long as you want them to. The fees are a bit higher but i prefer to sell on here as you get more money. alternatively try play.com, i've not used them myself but from what i've heard, they are also very good.

Thank andan, I think I'll give this a go this evening. Do ordinary paperbacks go well on there or does it tend to be more textbooks and specialist books that sell better?

I havent used Amazon to sell, but I recall someone recently saying that you shouldnt list heavy books or you will be out of pocket.

Took back 2 skirts (reduced in sale) that I decided I could live without, paid in a cheque and changed some Euros into sterling. Bought DS2 a birthday present with Boots points. Worth the bus fare!
About to put washing out on the line, dinner is in the freezer so shall start defrosting it.

So true, I listed a textbook and made 40p off it, although it sold for £10, the postage was £6, and amazon take about a third overall, would have been better keeping it!
