Copy Amr File To Mp3 Or Disc?

Hi There! I used my phone as a dictaphone to record a conversation. When copying to my pc it shows as an AMR file and is unable to open in windows media player however I can open and play it in Windows media player classic how can I convert the amr file to mp3 format so I can then copy to disc?
Can anyone suggest software that will allow me to do this as at the moment if I try to copy to disc my pc says it does n't recognise the format. Or if anyone knows of a way to copy to disc without software? I've been tring to do this for a couple of evenings now and getting really fustrated so I thought there will definately be some kind person on MSE who is more PC literate than me that could help me find a solution,
Any suggestions welcome thanks!
