Is this a balance transfer??

Bit Niave here folks got around £1600 left on a loan, quite high interest so was looking at paying it off with a credit card, how would this work would i get the o% no interest for a year which is what the card is offering or is this not a balance transfer, if not any advice?? cheers in advance...

    what card?
    they won't do a BT to a loan but some will do a BT to your current a/c so you can then pay the loan off
