old debt/credit card

Hi Martain I hope you can help me i've been paying off a old debt for about6/7yrs its a halifax credit card.i pay reg every mth of 25.oo but i get charge interest, if i didnt pay the interest it would of been paid off by now.I did ask if they could stop the interest but they wont.I dont have the card anymore and i really want to get this stop and i would like to claim my interest back to help me pay it off.Any ideas what to do.please thank you.

You will be very lucky indeed to get them to stop charging you interest. If you have a decent credit history then your best bet would be to try and transfer the debt to a new card which you will open with a 0% balance transfer option.
Go for the longest term possible. You will be charged a 3% ish fee but this will be very small compared with the interest you are currently paying.0 -
