E-on Central Heating Cover

BEWARE! We've just taken out E-on's central heating breakdown cover and were enticed into it by the promise of a 2 hour appointment slot, unlimited claims and the fact that it was £100 cheaper then our British Gas renewal and the added bonus that it also came with a £25 Quidco cashback. So far though they've failed 3 times just to keep to their initial inspection and i'm far from impressed.
I knew it spelt trouble when after the first lady who rang to book the appointment someone rang minutes later to do the same. But the story goes on...
1. Agreed an appointment yesterday (Sunday) between 12:00 and 14:00 but no one turned up due to "the engineer's PDA not working, so he didn't get any calls at all all day"...obviously an engineer on the ball eh.
2. Re-booked straight away for the following day (Monday) between 18:00 and 20:00 but no one showed. After ringing it turns out that this appointment never existed and it was actually booked for 12:00 - 14:00 on Tuesday, but that they had left a voice-mail for me saying that they couldn't do that one anyway.
3. Now rebooked for Tuesday between 14:00 and 16:00...but we'll see what happens.
This is only for the initial inspection, so god only knows what they're like for an actual breakdown. It might be £100 cheaper then BG but so far it's 100 times worst.
I've been a mobile engineer myself (computers) for 11 years now and can only describe E-on's service to date as shocking and incompetent. How can you go wrong so many times just on an initial inspection? Especially when it's the first impressions that count.
