Question

What's the threshold for claiming Working Tax Credit for a single person, no dependents and a Mortagage??

What else can a single person claim for? Council Tax single person living alone is already known.

Thanks.

You can only claim WTC if you're over 25 unless you have children or a disability.

The threshold is £11700 and you have to be over 25 and working 30+ hours a week.

Not sure why you have mentioned the mortgage as you don't get any help towards that.

    Thanks for the link.

I looked the table at the bottom and found out no WTC would be awarded for being over 25.
  • The threshold for WTC, as long as you work 30+ hours and are aged over 25 has now increased to £12,853.
