Curtains cleaned? - Johnsons cleaners

Anyone taken advantage of the £20 offer from Johnsons cleaners for a pair of curtains? Or anyone had a bad experience of having curtains professionally cleaned.
Collected a pair today and they looked as if they have been boil washed! The linings have come away from the curtains and all the stiffness has gone out of the curtains and the linings, but worst still one curtain has a big blue stain on it as if it has been next to another blue item and the dye has been transfered. (They were originally a light cream with a pattern and made by John Lewis so not cheep) They now look like rags. They don't have any smell of dry cleaning fluid - think this is suspicious. I know they do say they may shrink slightly but I am livid!
Have tried phoning the cleaners but they have gone home.
Any suggestions welcome.

maple41 - try phoning them again in the morning and if you dont get a satisfactory answer - phone head office and talk to them about it. If they have ruined your curtains that badly - then definatly dont let it rest until you get it sorted out.

totally agree, go back to the store, then contact head office, make sure you take photos of the curtains in the state they are now in.
I worked in a dry cleaners, (wasnt Johnsons)and if there was any fault with the item this would of been noted at the start (hense no note made - you didnt sign anything - no prob with the b4).
The chemicals they use, shouldnt leave a dry cleaning smell, I know when I did curtains, they never got pressed, just folded up and put in covering.
Def dont let this drop and if push comes to shove you want full replacement value.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Which did a survey on dry cleaners recently, and Johnsons (who had very mixed results) agreed to take immediate action to improve.
Clearly this is not acceptable, but you may well get a good response when you contact them.
Advice from Which is to complain asap, send written complaints by recorded delivery and keep copies. If you don't get satisfaction, contact the Textile Services Association.0 -
Thanks for the replies. Have phoned the cleaners and taking the curtains back in this afternoon.0
