in Credit cards
Hi everyone,
long time reader of the site & forums... but first post.
Me and my fiance work hard and don't reep much from what we earn, we have an 18 month old daughter so my partner only works 2 days I week. I work 5 days a week and together we earn enough to pay the mortgage, bills and shopping. But it leaves nothing left over.
We have one credit card with £3k on it, and the 0% has just finished, so now we pay £26 per month interest. We need to move this as soon as possible but my problem is we aint going to be able to pay it off anytime soon as we dont have any spare money, to make matters worse we need to find around 4k to pay for some minor changes to our wedding in Sepetmeber.
Im quite level headed and this site's really helped me get a grip and face the facts. But I need some advice on what we should do...
Any ideas?

Suggest you post on the Debt Free wannabee forum where all those clever people will help you shave £'s off your outoings. You will need to post a statement of affairs, which lists all of your income and outgoings, but you will find a link to this on the DFW forum. Well done for posting - lots of v helpful advice will be available from the DFW experts. They will help you find £'s you didn't realise you had. Good luck.0

Many thanks, I'll do that now!0

Sorry if this is going to sound like a downer for you but you would much better off downsizing the wedding by four grand than getting into more debt to pay for it.
I agree that the debt free wanabe forum is the place to go.0 -
Hello Paulblake01
The bit you say "we need to find around 4k to pay for some minor changes to our wedding in Sepetmeber." The bit that says "NEED" interests me will you life be different or your future wife not marry you if you do not pay this ??
How much is it costing you anyway?
Please do not get into anymore debt esspecially for a wedding its not matter of life or death. Your life will continue you will still be happy im sure. So dont pay the 4k cancel what ever it was and if anyone asks tell them the truth you have not got the money please do not be ashamed OF it I was not nore ever will be If i cant afford something dont pay by "credit card" they are "DEBT CARDS"
ITS IS NOT WORTH IT !Thats all folks
