56 Nappies and Mother & Baby Magazine for £2.60

Post written 14 April 2008
What's the deal?

Spend £2.60 on May's issue of Mother & Baby magazine and you'll get a voucher for a free pack of nappies from supermarket Lidl, worth £4.99. Many MoneySavers use Lidl's Toujours nappies anyway, as they report that they compare favourably to some of the big name brands. A pack of 56 brand name nappies would normally cost £9-ish, so this is a nice little deal.

What do I need to do?

Pick up your copy of Mother & Baby Magazine and on page 173 is a voucher. Fill in your name and email address and take the voucher to Lidl. To find your nearest store use the Lidl store locator.

The voucher can be used on one of three sizes of Lidl's own Toujours brand nappy:
  • Midi (Size 3) for babies weighing 9-20lbs (4-9kg), pack of 56 nappies
  • Maxi (Size 4) 15-40lbs (7-18kg), pack of 50 nappies
  • Junior (Size 5) 24-55lbs (11-25kg), pack of 44 nappies
Make sure you pick up the right packs. It's the larger packs of Premium Nappies you want, not the smaller packs which are training pants.

The Size of the Saving

As the number of nappies in a pack often differs between brand and even style it can be difficult to compare price but buy a pack of around 56, Size 3, Huggies or Pampers and it'll normally cost you around £9 while a supermarket own-brand pack will be £5-7. Lidl's Toujours nappies normally cost £4.99 a pack.

If you've never heard of Lidl then first read the What's Hot and What's Not at Lidl, Aldi and Netto article.

Yes, Lidl nappies are great - just as good as Huggies etc IMHO. And quite a bit cheaper than the main brands. My kids have outgrown nappies now but they used to work out about 10p a nappy.
  • I always buy Lidls nappies, they are as good as pampers and huggies. I first discovered them when I ran out of pampers while on holiday in Spain and the nearest shop was a lidl. I haven't looked back since. So much cheaper too.

Thanks for the post glitterstar, I shall be stocking up with mother and baby mags in the morning.
  • never tried lidls nappies and wouldnt have bothered without this offer!

first thing tomorrow will be to get some of these mags!
  • Unfortunately the coupon can't be used in Lidl in Northern Ireland even though it says on the coupon 'at any Lidls in the UK'

How typical, the same happened with the Tesco mother/baby vouchers that were in UK stores last month.

yes its a good freebie if its one to be had!

just had a call from a friend who i told the offer about this morning

anyway to cut it short she was quite annoyed!

she said on the way to work this morning she stopped at a Tesco Express, Spar, Shell Forecourt, and two independent newsagents and the magazine was nowhere to be found!

    happy hunting!

    il try my luck later!
