How about an IOU, a trip to the salon in your local college for after the baby is born? I would love to have that to look forward too and let's face it, she won't have much time for herself then!

  • When someone gets to celebrate her birthday in periods like these all the gift ideas tend to be for the yet to be born and seldom do people concentrate on the person who actually is special on that day. This happened to me too, I was 6 months pregnant that year when my birthday came and was flooded with gifts that could be used by the baby only when he/she got to a certain age! How funny isnt it? Hope someone from them visited places like these to get some decent ideas at least. :o
  • I was 9 months and almost 1 week overdue on my birthday last year. The ideal gift in my eyes would be pick her up and treat her to a nice day out with a picnic at the local park or beach. All it would cost is the price of the picnic. Just not having to cook or think about things in the home I am sure would be a welcome relief.

Definately, I agree with the above from hectoriess. I am nearly 5 months now and I would love attention for ME!!! I know it sounds terrible but all people talk about is the baby and I keep thinking, what about me? Really nice idea to be taken for a picnic or to be brought a nice homemade lunch, or you could do her nails/ give her a facial maybe. I always do these sort of vouchers for my mum and she loves it, especially as she doesn't have to clear up after! Goodluck!!!

So if you have any suggestions or someone has done anything really nice for you that wont break the bank that would be great.
I cant make her a cake as she is making me one as we share a birthday . Thanks

Find out if she's going to have a baby girl or a baby boy so that you would know what type of baby stuffs you can give. Baby stuffs are the best gifts for expecting mothers It's very essential for pregnant women. I hope this could help you : squidoo.com/best-gifts-expecting-mothers

Considering the date on the first post of this thread is 2008, I really hope OP's sister has had her baby by now :)

  • Maybe the poster above you would have suggested buying her sister some spam anyway!

I don't think you're supposed to eat spam in pregnancy ;)
