Hi.
Im having our first baby and working out our finances. my employer has a good maternity scheme of 12 weeks half pay on top of statuory maternity pay. this is payable if you dont go back to work for a minimum of 13 weeks (can go back part time / flexi working)
did a quick calculation on the child tax credits site and put both our salaries and then just hubby's to see if we could survive on the one wage plus benefits so i can stay at home to look after baby :j
we'd quality for working tax credits. i dont know much about these so are these just payable for a certain length of time?
could i go back to work (thus claiming the 12 weeks half pay) then resiging and claim working tax credits and child tax credits?
thanks in advance
