Dead easy get a boot disc (rember them).
boot from the boot disc.
Then at the ms-dos prompt type format C:

Not as easy as that TheShadow, I have tried to reload windows xp home edition but get an error message as follows:-
STOP: c0000221 unknown hard error \systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll
Any thoughts?0 -
You can reformat your drive with a windows XP installation CD, boot disks are not required unless you do not have a CD drive or you are installing Windows ME/98/95 (and possibly NT I can't remember).
Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from your CD drive first, pop in the XP Home installation CD and follow the instructions it will let you reformat and partion your drive.0 -
And if you need more in-depth instruction than that, you should find all the information you need here and here.Quark wrote:Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from your CD drive first, pop in the XP Home installation CD and follow the instructions it will let you reformat and partion your drive.0
