DivX on XBox 360

Hi,

I have setup my media extender on my xbox 360 to my PC but it will not play any of my DivX movies. Anyone have any idea how you get these working, if you can.

Don't know if there's a better way to do it than this , but this is how I do it.

1. Switch on 360 connected to network
2. On PC start WMP11, under the now playing tab select "More Options"
3. Then on the Library tab of the "More Options", click "Configure Sharing".
4. Check the box next to "share my media"
5. Select your 360 in the window and click allow. This should put a green tick next to it. Apply and OK
6. Then on the Media blade of your 360 select videos
7. Press x to change video source
8. Bingo!

You may have to download an update depend on what files you're playing back but you will be prompted by the 360 to do so. Long winded I know, but if there's an easier way I'd love to know.

That works lovely, thanks. I wonder why it doesn't work via the media centre?
