Lenovo laptop on-board recovery has corrupt files

My daughter bought a Lenovo laptop last September - I didn't realise that there are no back-up disks until it was too late. Her hard drive is corrupted - I can't get into system restore or the Lenovo Care. Will Lenovo send me the disks I need? i have asked Dabs for the support number.

Was it purchased from new or second hand? I am fairly sure that Lenovo will provide a build disk for the machine.0

It was new - I will contact them when I get their support number from Dabs. I will be more careful once its clean as there is a Trojan Adloader on it.0

If the laptop still has the Lenovo warranty left on it, they should send you a set of recovery CD-ROMS. May take a couple of weeks to arrived. They did this for me for a T42 - I anticipated something might go wrong one day so insisted they send the discs. Turned out I needed them in the end too.
One thing worth doing before you reinstall is obtain any license keys on the laptop now. There are some freeware utilities around to do this with .0
