i sold some sim cards for £3 at a car boot sale sold loads one week but none the previous week at the same car boot sale .. so it all depends on the people and the weather.. i put a sign up telling people abt the offers they have with them..
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • i would say do price items, people like to knoe but put a sign up saying you take reasonable offers (works for me)..be realistic dont ask to much but dont just give your stuff away there will always be another boot sale
  • I've recently been selling o2, voda and virgin sims at my local carboot for £5 a pop, the only thing i have a prob with is questions loads of peole ask how much are the calls and text messages on the different networks, i had one lady who was interested iin buying one because she was getting a sime error on her phone but she was asking advice on the mobile, luckily i used to diagnose faults for a vodafone call centre so i knew most phones and could help her out, but it takes so much time.
My advice would be if someone is interested/looking jump up and tell them "with the o2 sims you get .........300 free text for £10 topup or whatever but if you find in the first hour of 2 that loads are interested but walk away drop your prices part way through you should get the best of both worlds, make sure you take plenty of change, stock up on asda/tesco carrier bags and have someone with you if its a large carboot so you can pop to the loo if its a long carboot, my local lasts for 5 hours plus traveling.
Also don't sit around or stand with your arms folded, be welcoming and smile/chat to everyone. we were selling some playhouses, we set it all up and knew kids would be jumping in every 5 mins but whilst the parents were standing there we had chance to try and sell it, light humour is always a winner, we told them there was not samp duty to pay and it comes unfurnished, also low band council tax, they were in fits and we sold them both with no trouble
Running total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan
    Running total for superpoints -

What I hate about carboot sales is when you first arrive there and are trying to unload everything out of your boot and suddenly LOADS of people are rummaging around through your boot and things before youare even set up and ready! ...like flies round a pigs bottom! Lol :D

My local car boot sale (Redcar racecourse) doesnt allow buyers to pester sellers during set up time. They have staff patrolling, allowing us to set up in peace. I stopped selling at Sedgefield racecourse because the buyers (vultures) are so aggressive, waiting to pounce. I had someone try to get in my car, v. scary.

Mine is at our local supermarket, their first one, and for charity.
Hopefully if it's a success there will be more! :j :j
