I've been badgering my family for ages and aside from the mortgage reclaiming they can't be bothered. It is really frustrating but it's their loss I'm afraid. I've saved over £6,000 since starting money saving just over 2 years ago and it hasn't taken up too much time.

    What can you do???
  • Oh lordy I would love to pass on everything I've learned from this great site. I have helped my brother get a great mortgage though and hopefully he'll be saving money for years:D

I agree with the others. I have 2 sisters and told both about the success I'd had reclaiming MEAFs and how easy it was. One has done it and got some moeny back (not sure how much) but the other is full of comments like "I don't have time for things like that" and "it's not worth it" whenever I tell her about this site, money saving in general or doing things like online surveys to get a bit of extra cash, yet she always has time for playing things like Bejewled on the computer! I've also tried to persuade my Dad that he should have a cash ISA too, not just my non-tax paying Mum - all the more frustrating as he's always wingeing about the amount of tax to be paid on his pension and that he can't use my Mum's unused personal allowance! V frustrating when family won't listen but as others have said -their loss! I need to make my hard earned money work for me so I will continue listening to Martins tips with interest.
