Here is the link to the site with the cheap stand. They are graded stuff so its been reduced quite a bit.

Hi I'm with confused31 about football logos in the corner of the screen, whenever chelsea reserves play they insist that there is a ChelseaTV logo there. I know what I'm viewing, and I pay for it on subscription, and still its there glowing away...I did email them...must get that gigi to look at it.

Wall bracket, great idea, mine was £250 and cracking support, fitting, easy to use, but not cheap!...... I have been looking at the other end of the market and I'm glad I paid that amount, all the others look/are cr*p.

Can the wall support the weight? maybe not, you must take this into consideration, you will pull the wall down.

If you can use HDMI leads then I would go for that as they are better looking, thinner, sleaker, have locking clips and gold plated for £7.50p

the switch says hd not hdmi, you will be able to connect you xbox through your RGB, which is the green, yellow and blue cbles

This isn't entirely correct. If you bought the premium Xbox 360, you will have component video leads (Red/Blue/Green=video and split Red/White=analogue audio) which outputs YpBpR (also known as YUV) which is entirely different to RGB although comparable in picture quality. The YpBpR signal is compatible with High Definition resolutions.

Make sure your wall can support the weight if you're going to wall-moun the TV. Get a decent bracket but shop around. I got a bracket that retailed at £90 from numerous sites for £40 or so from amazon. Unfortunately as my walls are stud/plaster I couldn't use it where I wanted it. Sites like avsupports.com have handy hints and should be able to recommend a bracket for your particular TV.

Modern plasmas don't tend to suffer from screen burn. If you play games a lot, I would say go for LCD but if movies/TV viewing is more your thing, I would stick with plasma esp. at larger sizes. I am amazed that people put up with the pic quality from the majority of LCD TV's to be honest.

Check ukhdmi.com or markgrantcables for HDMI cables. I use markgrant and bettercables myself in my own system. What ever you do avoid monster cables (of any description) as although they're well made, they're far too expensive. There are plenty of online cable retailers that charge fair prices that offer next day delivery so there's no need to pay the rediculous charges that currys, comet etc. charge. Lidl often sell HDMI cables for a fiver that are perfectly fine.

Cheers everyone. The wall it is going on should be strong enough as its brick. Most of the time I use the TV to watch telly/films so I think plasma is the best way to go.

I have a 42" Samsung 1080p LCD TV and I have never had any problems with pixelation (spelling) or anything. The quality has got a lot better recently.
