Afternoon all, well just got back from visiting the family, so now back to the dfw way of life, starting with a store cupboard meal and resisting buying a chinese, especially as i can't afford it!

    Other dfw things for today:
-Bought a meal deal whilst waiting for the training rather than buying expensive food whilst on the train.
-Have looked for mystery shops but none found as yet
-Hope to do some more surveys later
-Haven't put the heating on all day and hoping to keep it off until its necessery to put it on
    -Place a matched bet
-Send off train ticket for mystery shop
    -Check through emails
-Have checked online banking, not looking good!
-Get up to date with all my challenges.

Thats it for me i think, whilst i try and get up to date with everything. Have a good evening everyone.

Falady, sorry to hear about your job interview, did they give you an explanation or are they planning to rearrange it?

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hello everyone, I have never posted here before, but feel the need in order to spur on my debt clearing, so today I have,
    • done a mystery shop
    • looked after two children (not my own) for 3 hours
    • left over chicken for dinner - in the form of sweet and sour chicken
    • ebayed my first item (of many).
Onwards and upwards, have made a firm resolution now that despite my DFD of 2011, I am going to make £5,000 by christmas and clear this last debt:eek: .

    Evenin' All,

Today I've been to work and in fact am still here! That's by choice as I can sneakily be on MSE here or I'd be at home fighting with the kids for the PC.

How're you doing taxi73, if i remember you weren't well a little while ago. Good to see your'e still not smoking.
I've had to fork out £2 today for my tea for work this week but the rest of the week should be NSD's.
  • A very good DFW day for me today! I am currently working my four weeks notice, and to use up my holiday I am working a four day weeek so day off for me today! Hurrah!

Anyway, enough gloating (can you tell I am pleased to be leaving?) and back to the question in hand:
    • Checked online banking (although not too keen on what I saw :o )
    • Went for a free gym and swim trial- not sure whether or not to rejoin a gym after I let me membership lapse when I hurt my back- it's not exactly DFW but on the other hand it does keep me out of the shops and is a hobby. Still before I decide there are at least four more gyms near me offering free trials;)
    • Switched home insurance (currently with my employer and will lose discount when I leave)- saved 50% oer month plus got £75 cashback through quidco (so really saved 75%). Very pleased.
    • Breakfast, lunch and dinner from cupboards. Also knocked up a delicious ginger sponge and custard for pudding and made a batch of rolls for lunches for the rest of the week.
    • Sorted out lots of suits that I will no longer need in new job which I will eBay- will write descriptions tonight but can't list yet as still need to wear for another couple of weeks!
Think that's it- back to work tomorrow unfortunately but I am in a very DFW frame of mind and feeling good for a low spend week.

:grouphug: Sending you a hug Tallie, you sound really fed up today. Some days you feel like you aren't making any progress,:wall: but overall you are:D it's about changing your attitude to money more than anything and you ARE doing that. Try and stick at it, hopefully you will have a better day tomorrow:D
In the meantime if you need to vent, we are all here to listen.

Hey tallie, sorry to hear your having a rubbish day, have you tried doing surveys, bit quicker than piggie points. Check out the up your income board for some ideas. Hope your dark cloud lifts soon and have a nice soak in the bath for some 'me' time to make you realise its worth it in the end. Trust me, we all have those days.
