Flights to Berlin

Hi everyone.

I'm looking to fly to Berlin (Germany) to visit a university friend sometime between the 10th of July 08 and the end of July.

Can anyone recommend any companies to fly with, or possible places to find deals? I've tried searching on www.cheap-flights.co.uk but not found much. I'll most likely be flying out on a Friday and returning on the Sunday or Monday.

I'm closest to London Gatwick but could probably go to Heathrow if needed? I've found that BA fly to Berlin from LHR for £126 return, not too bad...

Any help would be greatly received!

Air Berlin?

Air Berlin, Easyjet and Ryanair all fly London to Berlin. On some random dates, Fri 18 - Mon 21 July Ryanair are 56.45 pounds.

Easyjet fly from Luton, Ryanair and Air Berlin from Stansted. On personal preference and all things being equal, I would favour Easyjet.

Do check out prices from Heathrow on BA as they can be competitive if you need to fly in the near future.

I've found a flight from Thursday and returning Monday is £65 with Easyjet from Gatwick...! That could be a good one, although I may have to stay in a Hotel on the Thursday night, doh!

Germanwings flies from Stansted to Berlin-Schonefeld if this helps.

Be aware that you may well end up at an airport 100 miles from "Berlin".
