Is this a "Joint Credit Card"?

Hi
I am asking this on behalf of my friend who is currently going through a griefy divorce. Her problem is this....
Her husband has a Tesco credit card on which she is a 2nd card holder (she has her own Tesco CC too) My friend only uses the joint card for household purchases (food, clothes for kids etc) and puts around £300 pcm on it. However, her husband has run a huge debt up on it - he has decided he will be responsible for paying it off (or not) every month.
Now my friend is aware that she is jointly liable for any debts but will this include this credit card too? When their finances are eventually split, will she potentially have to find half of whatever debt he has run up? The reason we are a little confused is that Tesco only let you have 1 credit card in your own name, (which she has) so is the fact she is a named 2nd cardholder the same as having and therefore being jointly liable?
(I hope that makes sense

In terms of responsibility to the credit card provider, then the primary cardholder has sole responsibility for the debt...even that spent by the secondary cardholder.
In terms of sharing the debt in any financial settlement between partners, then it'll be down to the lawyers to argue it out.0 -
as far as the CC company is concerned there is no such thing as a joint CC... in this case only her OH is responsible for the debt on the card irrespective of who actually spent the money
a divorce judge may make a different decision in the context of an equitable division of spoils0 -
Yes as others have said, there is no such thing as a Joint Credit Card and the primary Card Holder (i.e. the husband) is responsible for 100% of the debt.0
