help with wireless

i keep getting a message saying windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on the network
i have a belkin wireless router on virgin media , my desktop works fine using a ethernet cable via the router but my laptop doesnt via the wireless
does anyone know what i could do been trying al day to resolve it:mad:

    Usually caused by setting the encryption on the laptop to WPA-RADIUS
    instead of WPA-PSK, can you see if that's the case here ?

    as far as i know it is a wep key..how would i check this

    You could check it by logging into your routers settings page eg 192.122.1.3

    checked and it is wep this is really annoying because it was working ok yesterday

    My dad has the same setup. The encryption is WPA-PSK and I always get the message that there is no certificate available.

    My laptop connects OK though despite the message.
