Two quick questions!

Hi, as you'll read below I'm not computer literate at all so help me please!

My son has been given a surprise birthday laptop (hugs to aunt) and as well as Works 9, it has come with a 60 day trial for Home & Student 07. He loves this package as it has everything he currently uses at school ie word, excel, powerpoint etc and is intending to buy it. Thought I had found cheapest on Amazon at £80 but came across software4students. I can only find Office Standard 2007 which sounds similar but it's a bargain at under £40!

So my questions are - is this company ok and is the office standard package any good?
Thanks for any help
J

    Yes it's a legitimate company.

The only difference between Standard and Home & Student is that Standard includes Outlook whereas Home & Student has Onenote instead.

See here for comparison of editions:

Thanks for this superscaper. My son did mumble something similar but not being 'puter savvy or ordering a lot over the net, thought I'd better check it out! Thanks again.

I used software4students last week and the disk turned up in 4 or 5 days and I saved £50 on the office package. I was dubious but they have proved themselves.

And to put to rest any lingering doubt, they are actually specifically listed on Microsoft's own website. You can't get any more legitimate than that:
