Morning all
Two loads of washing out on the line, including my bedding. Dusted and vacuumed all the bedrooms, vacuumed landing and bathroom/toilet floors. Vacuumed down the stairs. Dusted and polished living room and computer desk, and vacuumed all through downstairs.
I got the grass cut yesterday, so I don't think there's much more I can do today. Good.0 -
to say i was going to take it easy, i haven't stopped.
Just done about 21/2 hours of sorting out upstairs as i just lost track of time. That's on top of about an hour in the kitchen this morning before i went upstairs.
I seem incapable of sticking to a list though. I am having one of those days where i am just doing whatever is under my nose IYKWIM, and it is working. The newly painted/carpeted bedroom is a bit less of a dumping ground. I will gradually get there.
you lot are a bad influence showing me all these lovely houses. I am going to bury my head in the sand not look. I would love a 5 bedroom house. Ideally i would like another baby in a few years time, and have a room for each of them plus a spare room for guests that can double up as our office.
My other pastime this morning has been reading the live for 4k for the year challenge. I have been thinking about how much i spend which is a heck of a lot. I should use my time off wisely i think and try and cut back a lot and see where we are with the savings. We are due a re-mortgage next year in May when our 5 year fixed deal runs out, and i would like some paid off and then it may be possible to buy a bigger house some time in the future. Will have to put up with my very manky bathroom and kitchen for a lot longer i think. I can't see us being in a position to move for probably another 5 years. In fact, the scary thing is, we will be quite behind anyhow with paying for a wedding and having 2 maternity leaves and reducing my hours at work in the past 21/2 years. I could get very scared but that is life isn't it. Can't have everything, and we don't do too bad compared to some.
Very deep, i think i will go back to slobbing now.

Afternoon all
Polly you have done heaps - you put me to shame
Done my dalies and been for a power walk - aching now.
I really need to get on with some flying! Going upstairs for a shower and to put the laundry away and then playing catchy upey with the living room first.
Thanks for sharing your house links - the variation in prices accross the country is huge. A 4 bed detached where we are is about £650k!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
