Setting Up Wpa On O2 Wireless Router

Sorry if this has been asked before (I am new here) but could anyone tell me how to set up WPA on the O2 broadband wireless box? I have been round and round on the o2 help site and got nowhere.

Cheers

  • Try this.....

Type 192.168.1.254 into your browser's address bar to bring up the router's homepage.

Then go to Home Network > Interfaces > WLAN: O2wireless

Then click "Configure" from the upper right options to display the box's configuration settings followed by "Help".

The necessary guidance should now be displayed.
  • This is driving me nuts. Followed instructions but it kept timing out after I entered password - worse thing was, I then lost all connection and it kept asking for the password for the WPA and then didn't recognise it - back to the drawing board!

Is it the router timing out when you enter the password or your computer?

When you set the encryption to WPA and set the password on the router, it will begin encrypting the data and your computer will not be able to connect.

You will have to re-enter the password on your computer as well to allow you to connect...hope that answers your question!
  • The router takes ages to absorb the information and then times out. When I then try to connect the pc asks me for a password and when I enter it the connection fails and I am unable to connect to the wireless network altogether.
