Best way to change supplier AND name?

I've moved into a property and need to change gas & electric supply from my landlord's name to my own. I'm also going to take the opportunity to change supplier to a cheaper one. Are the uswitch etc. deals on switching still available? Or is that just when you switch supplier but keep the same account name?

You need to get the accounts changed into your name first, before you try to switch suppliers.
