Miele washing machine

I think our old washer is giving up the ghost ...
Still working but it seems to be leaving rust stains and washing powder on the clothes .
So if I did take the advice I've read on other post and invest in a Miele washing machine .
Which machine? ...4 people in the house ,washer on most days ,I would say an average type user .
And just as importantly .Where to buy it from? ..Either with a massive sale going on or with the ability of using discount codes and Quidco.
Finally ...How do I get rid of the old machine ..Will a local dump take it if I can get it their?

Is this one any good for? http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/products/productdetail.asp?productcode=mie-wsh-w1512-w

Don't forget to consider the free (claim via form after purchase) warranties Miele have on offer when choosing which machine to buy.

Free 5 year parts & labour

Free 10 year parts & labour

So don't be tempted to pay for an extended warranty from the retailer.

I bought the W 4446 WPS Washing Machine last year. It was a lot of money, but it's the best machine I've ever owned. It'll be worry free washing for 10 years (the warranty period), but they're apparently designed to last twice that. So I hope not to need to buy another machine for a long, long time.

I decided which features I wanted from the machines in the 10year promo set and then spent days trawling the net for the best price. At the time I wasn't aware of quidco. :( I bought it online, but can't remember which retailer it was. Even if I did, it wouldn't be a guarantee that it'd be cheaper again, for you. ;) It'll involve a lot of leg-work, but you'll have to compare the price of a machine bought in a sale, to one bought at full price but with cashback.

As far as disposing of your old machine, if you can move it to the front of the house, I think your council should come and collect it for free. Most of the retailers I looked at made a charge to remove your old one.

I bought the W 4446 WPS Washing Machine

Blimey that's a pricey washing machine.
The best I can find is £891.09 plus 4% quidco (£35.64) at kitchen science direct
    That's about £855.50 .
Me not being the bloke who drives this machine ..Is it worth the extra ...Is it quiet ? I suppose it is the reliability that you're paying for ...Our machine lost it's water going to that place you put the powder ,about 12 months after we bought it .

Most councils DO charge to collect old appliances. Last time I looked our council charged about £25 but they would take up to 3 items for that.

If you can get it to a recycling centre yourself ....... it's free!

    MIELE are great BTW!;)

When our 'old' servis machine (well 2 1/2 year old) died I ordered the W1512 but noticed that it is a very deep machine which wouldn't fit in the slot under the worktop. Instead I cancelled and went for the W3740 which although was more expensive it came with a 10 year warranty and is not as deep as the W1512.

Whichever one you choose, they quality of these machines is obvious, and I'm sure ours will easily put up with the daily grind we put it through.

In terms of price, I ordered ours through http://www.electrical123.com, which I believe is run by the same company as co-op electrical (the design of the site and contact address are almost identical), and the W1512 is £477. The service was excellent, with Saturday delivery in the time slot given and they took away the old machine (£15 or so). Highly recommended.

Just another option is this ISE10 machine with a 10 year warranty. And, it doesn't come with Meile's restrictive spares and technical policies. ;)
