Got this e`mail earlier is it a scam?

Hi, received this e`mail earlier .. of course its got to be too good to be true!!

    No need to ask it's an obvious scam, just delete it and any others like it you might get in the future.

    110% scam.

    Believe it or not though I know someone who responded to one of these thinking it was genuine, before being told it was utter b****cks. It was someone claiming to be from a bank working for the National Lottery, and they were asking for upfront payment for courier fees to get the "winnings" delivered to him. Not sure of the outcome but at the very least the scammer has now got hold of a lot of his personal details..
