BTW you have to spend using the amex card not the mcard to get the voucher. I'm waiting for the winter for cheap hotel prices.

Bugg@r ! Just checked, and for the first time I haven't spent £500 that month on the Amex

Why haven't you spent £500, there was no minimum spend. I think we spent about £80 on all 4 cards we had.

I just phoned airmiles about their offer, and the guy on the phone said you have to book a hotel at the same time as you book your flights, but the hotel can be anywhere (so I could book a hotel in London for the night before I fly out) and on any date. So I think I might be able to make it work for me, since I have a few hundred airmiles and can probably find a cheap hotel somewhere if I use them, too.

That's assuming the flights I want are still available by the time I get the card, spend the minimum of the tenner on it, and get my airmiles voucher.
