Sony TV 'on the blink'

I have a Sony KD28DL10U integrated digital TV (4 years old)....well yesterday it just went off and now when I try and switch it on the LED light blinks Twice and the TV remains on Standby. I know these TV's have a built in self diagnosis device and two blinks means their is the problems with the power supply.

Here is the blinking code explanation from Sony:

TWO Blinks---B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits

Can anybody advise me how much a repair of this kind is likely to cost?

only way to tell is to take it in bud - I am sure you can still do that somewhere these days right
Seriously ring somewhere up there might be a common fault with chassis so they may be able to give you an idea over the phone as to whether it is worth it or not.

Repairs to switch-mode power supplies cost in the region of £50 for parts, plus another £40 to £70 labour ? Thinks, is it worth it for a 4 year old set ? I think I'd put the money towards a new digital set. Consider another make, Sony are pricing themselves out of the market, and the quality is not what it used to be.
