The winner will be treated to special meal for two at this spectacular gala dinner on Thursday 22 May which will introduce a fantastic menu of vanishing artisan foods from across the world which are featured on the Slow Food ‘endangered’ list. Publicity generated by this landmark dinner will help to rescue these important foods from the brink of extinction.

A blink away from the "winking eye" of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the hotel is the hip haven for party people, culture vultures and big style retail therapists alike..

Entries must be received by 30th April 2008.
2. The winner will be drawn at random within 4 weeks of the closing date and will be notified within 14 days of the draw taking place. The winner is required to contact VisitBritain to confirm acceptance of their prize within 14 days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance within the specified period, or if the person is not contactable, VisitBritain reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to the next randomly drawn valid entry or to forfeit the prize.
3. By entering the competition, the winner consents to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion, and for his/her name and county to be used for publicity purposes by VisitBritain in printed and/or online formats.
4. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person allowed.
5. Users may only enter the competition through the Enjoy England website at www.enjoyengland.com
6. The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands excluding employees of VisitBritain and their immediate families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
7. The prize consists of a meal for two at the ‘Ten Things to Eat Before They Die’ event which takes place on and is only valid for May 22, 2008. The accommodation prize can be taken until September 30, 2008 and includes a two night weekend stay at Malmaison, Newcastle on a bed & breakfast basis, based on two people sharing a twin/double room. It is subject to availability. Both prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
8. The prize is non-transferable.
9. Open to adults aged 18+.
10. It is a condition of entry that the terms and conditions of the prize draw are accepted as final and that entrants agree to abide by the rules. No correspondence will be entered into.
11. VisitBritain will not accept responsibility for loss of entries through technical fault, postal/transmission delays or incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
12. In the event of unforeseen circumstances VisitBritain reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
