recently taken out a virgin credit card for the 0% finance deal. Now hubby thinking of doing the same-do the companies do a check on you personally or as a couple-is it likely to be turned down because they have recently provided me with one?thanks lots

Each applicant is scored individually, so your successful application neither helps nor hinders your husband's chances.
Btw, if you share a financial product with someone else (eg. joint bank account), then you are financially linked and the management of your own affairs could have a knock-on effect on his credit rating, but simply being married and occupying the same house as someone else has no effect whatsoever.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

I got a virgin money card then 2 months later Oh successfully applied for one too.So no problem for us."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0 -
I just applied for a virgin card and was told they would let me know in 7 to 10 days. Normally, I get an instant yes, I wonder why not this time as my credit history is good.0

Does this still apply if mumdawn's husband was a second cardholder on her account? I would assume it still makes no difference. However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts0 -

regarding the query about virgin confirming a successful application-well they took longer than they said for me-I think it was just over 2 weeks-but ok in the end.0
