Hedstrom Swing Broken-kids Driving Me Mad

Options
PLEASE HELP!!!

Kids have spent the whole of this morning argueing over our two remaining swings in back garden. Have been looking in vain on net for over 2 weeks for supplier of spare parts for hedstrom swings with no success. Basically the washer in our seesaw swing has split and I'm not happy for kids to play on so have taken this down.

Have considered replacing the whole swing to get a bit of peace-obviously they will find something else to argue over-but I live in hope. Buying new swing sticks in my throat as a money saver so thought I would see if any of you wonderful people can help me.

The kids won't even let me sit uninterrupted at my computer. I will get withdrawal symptoms at this rate. Really would love any suggestions you could come up with.

Many thanks in advance.

Is it not possible to replace the broken washer?

This might be a special part, but who knows, you may find an exact match at your local DIY store?

Can you post a piccie of the washer, or describe it in more detail? I presume it's just a metal washer?

Hiya, I hope this helps you, here is Hedstroms email

    customerservice@hedstrom.com

This is their pnone number but you will have to add on the codes for America

    4192899310

It is their Ohio base but I am sure that they will be able to help you. Just make sure you highlight the dangers and the cost issues and they should be willing to send something out. I used to work for ELC and we always had to order such items, they are availiable but are often hard to find.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks to both charlesh and purplegirluk1 I really appreciate your helpful suggestions.

Hubby actually put the broken rubber washer up somewhere safe so needless to say he can't actually put his hands on it presently, but assures me it will be found shortly. I'm not all that computer wise but will take you up on your offer to forward picture to you if necessary, thanks charlesh.

Have e-mailed hedstrom from details given by purplegiruk1 and hope this will bring something. Really appreciate your help, thanks.

    Here's hoping. ;)
