Hi there, Just looking for some advice really.I bought a Sony Ericsson W580i from Additons direct in october. After a few weeks the keypad buttons started to snap in half, searching on the internet I have found this is a common problem with this particular model so I decided to perservere with it.It now won't charge.I have tried several different Chargers and none of them work.I have also tested the charges on a different phone and they work fine.
I am just wondering what my rights are on returning the product?A i am to get a refund or exchange?I have the invoice but i don't think I have the box any more.
Many Thanks

most likely entitled to a repair, you need to speak to additions to find out what their policy is, either way you can take it to carphone warehouse and they will repair it for free (unless they think it has been damaged) under the warrenty, usually within 24hrsYes Your Dukeiness0

I also had 2 faulty w580i's. I bought it from the Orange shop in town. The first one I took back because after the first time it ran out of battery, it wouldn't turn back on again. They took it back rather reluctantly, and gave me a replacement in the store.
The second time, the plastic on the front of the phone became loose to the point where if you poked it, it would have fallen off. So I took it back again, and after explaining why I didn't think it was acceptable the for the plastic to be falling off the phone I just spent £100 on, they offered to send it back to Orange to be repaired and I would be left without a phone for 28 days. I explained that I didn't want a repaired phone for £100, that I had already taken back once, and this was the second time, in 3 days, and that I wanted my money back. They flat out refused to give me my money back, and eventually gave me another replacement phone. I asked them and what if this happened again? They would not give me any kind of reassurance at all, and said they would not take it back a 3rd time.
After about two weeks, the plastic at the bottom of the phone on the front fell off. I'm not very amused, I am in the process of wirting to Orange, after having a huge amount of billing problems too.
Don't be taken in by the nice-changing-colour LED's in the side of the phone people, they only change colour with one theme that comes with the phone, as soon as you change the theme, they stay boring pale blue.So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
