How to value a Rupert Annual

Just bought a Rupert the bear annual for £10. They are not dated,but i believe it is 1952.Where is the best place to get an idea of the value?

Watch your description, the title seems to make an awful lot of difference to the final value! Thanks for all this.I have ploughed through them all,and compared the conditions.The spine is completely intact,which seems to make a difference,it also has not got the name inscribed and has still got the 5 shilling price corner intact (not clipped off),which also makes a difference.
Some of these listed say first issue,but i haven't been able to work out how you can tell that.0 -
apparently its to do with the numbers written at the beginning of the book. First Edition requires the presence of the number 1, for example : 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 indicates 1st printing. 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 would indicate 2nd printing and so forth.

For books of this age it usually requires getting some experts involved, though if it is an annual (meaning yearly publication) it's unlikely that 1st edition /impression is relevant as their would only have been one print run usually.Do You Twitter?

Although it is called an annual,I just understood that to be a general term (we used to be told we would get "an annual" for christmas ,so i wasn't sure that there wasn't more than one issue,if that makes sense!But now I think about it,describing it as first issue is just a clever way of making it sound rarer,although I have also seen this issue described as ,rare and vintage. It makes sense an annual would only be printed once,although I think rupert,who had a little comic-type strip in the Daily Express was quite popular-I loved him anyway.
The only other information that is printed in the bookis the address of the publisher,and printer.0 -
Try abe books as a valutaion site only. SOme books are worth a lot more. Also condition is important. Has the price been cut out. Is there any writing in the book.Who was the artist Bethnall, HAaold etc. have a look and take into account the condition. Any problems please ask.0
