A company near me has 17" TFT monitors at £159 + VAT (£186.83) if anyone is interested. The company in question being Scan International. Their web site address is https://www.scan.co.uk.
They also do a list of PC items on a Today Only basis where they sell items at Trade prices. I know this because I used to trade with them and it was quite annoying when they were selling single items to the puplic at prices that I had to buy in bulk to get the same price.

if I could add some information around this subject, don't always look at the price - make sure the warranty is good as well - you should be able to get 3 years on-site swap-out, or at worst 3 years return to base.
Also, the things you can return them for are different, at least one manufacturer will now allow you to return the product if a certain number of pixels fail during the 3 year warranty. Pixel failure is a pretty common occurence but quite often isn't covered under the warranty.

Ask the right questions up front to avoid disappointment later.

The price will be dropping still further over the next month, maybe by another 3-4%, also check out 19" prices which are coming down very heavily.

GAMERS: If you play games and want to use a TFT make sure it's refresh rate is no worse than 16MS (@62 FPS) otherwise you could get screen blur.

Hi all,

I just wanted to echo Pyre's comment about the warranty. Make sure it's 2 or three years long..... my daughters recently packed up and the warranty was just two years into the three given. On site warranty meant a swap out was sent and the old one taken away - excellent!
