Citroen Assist or NOT

I've had a similar problem with Citroen refusing to honour their warranty/breakdown package.
My brand new Citroen C4 broke down several times. In the Warranty Book supplied, it said Citroen would supply a hire car for 3 days. However, Citroen Assist said over the phone that they only supplied a hire car for 1 day.
They said the Warranty Book supplied to me had since been updated (even though I carried out my own checks and found that Citroen Dealers were still giving Warranty Books with the 3 day car hire quote more than a year after Citroen claimed to have changed it).
To cut a very long story short, I sued Citroen in the County Court for the additional car hire costs, and won.
Even after I won, Citroen refused to pay and ignored the court's demands.
This is where it gets amazing. I was forced to instruct the Court Bailiffs to collect the money (or seize goods) from Citroen's head office. Even when the bailiffs went round, Citroen still refused to pay! Eventually on the bailiffs' third attempt, the warrant was enforced and I finally got my money. Citroen UK now have a County Court Judgement beside their name for 6 years.
Moral of the story: Citroen think the law doesn't apply to them. You have to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT to get justice out of them.0 -

I have just received my first renewal notice for Citreon Assist as I have had my Citreon for a year. I looked in the forum and read your comments about this. I did not realise they would not come out for punctures etc. As I am a female oap I cannot change a wheel in the case of a puncture and so I have gone back to Green Flag - I was with them for many, many years before purchasing a new vehicle and would recommend this company to anyone.:T0
