Hi.
I've got another thread running about my daughter's PC and this is connected.
At present, i've managed to get into safe mode and I am running AVG antispyware, then I'm going to run AVG...so far so good.
But, having read a few threads, I think that I should also download and then run Kaspersky (free trial
)....so.....can I download Kaspersky whilst in safe mode and then run it or, do I have to do it another way.
Sorry if this seems to be a dim question.
Thanks The Twit.

You can do it in safe mode but you'd have to uninstall AVG antivirus first before installing Kaspersky. You can't have two antivirus apps installed at the same time (well you can but they'd conflict with each other)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Oh bother....so is Kaspersky 'better than' AVG.
Would my time be better spent uninstalling AVG and installing/running Kaspersky than running AVG first?
The PC has been showing a Trojan LOP.4 (or something like that) as well as lots of po-ups saying there is junk on PC.
I will pop back with a link to my other thread..... here it is
