Where are you coming from - I lived near Leeds for nearly 10 years and the number of times I actually drove into Leeds could be counted on the fingers of one hand as, even by big city standards, it's an abysmal place to drive round0

I would definitely go on the train if you can as it is appalling to drive around. Parking is also really expensive.
As for the shops I have been loads of time sand still can't find my way around so I can't help there.
Hope you have a nice day

Thanked in error, what a load of rubbish, i drive to leeds about 10 times a week and its a doddle to drive around, There is plenty of cheap parking, and free parking if you know where to find it:D
I was there yesterday for a shopping trip, and paid £0 to park for 7 hours.0 -

The university car park next to the LGI, about 5 mins walk to the shops, during term time its much harder to get a space there thats why i didnt mention it. Other good areas are near the law courts.
The cheapest parking I have found is £3.50 for all day at the Round Foundary or £5 a day under the dark arches/Granary wharfe. Which is more central to the shops, avoid the NCP car parks lke the plague.
If your wanting shops, bars, eats, give me a glue as to what you like traditional, high street, gay, trendy, pricey and I can direct in the right directions, although it is Leeds so pretty much all of the shopping area are close together.0
