visa problems - check your statement

in Credit cards
I have looked at my credit card statement on line today only to find that five of my transactions have been debited then refunded then debited again. My bank's explanation for this is that there has been a problem with the processing of visa cards in that when my transactions were first debited, they were debited as cash transactions and therefore would have incurred interest. They were therefore refunded and then debited correctly.
My bank advise me that this is a problem affecting lots of customers not just me so make sure you check your statements.
