AOL Broadband DialUp!?

I am on AOL broadband using a BT105 modem to connect. For some
reason I now have a dialup box which pops up whenever I switch
the PC on?
The details in the popup are <myAOLusername@dialBB.com>
and a password hidden with dots? Is this normal or some kind
of spyware/dialler/trojan?
I ran Adaware/SpybotS&D a couple of days ago but it's
still popping up. I also have spywareblaster installed and AVG
all fully updated.
Anyone know/heard of the above popup? Is it worth me
running HijackThis and posting results for scrutiny?
Oh, and my phone line is setup with BT to not allow premium
rate calls.

IE tools, internet options, connections, never dial.
Sorry, you have a modem, not router, ..... it could be anything trying to connect, try downloading
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx
to see what is trying to talk out, and have a look for any unusual processes in task manager

I don't use IE just Firefox. The wife uses it occasionally to check the
bank account."Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

Does a 'dialler' only work if you
use a dialup connection? As opposed
to using the aforementioned BT modem?"Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

Lol, never mind. Just googled 'dialBB.com' and its to do
with AOL changing their servers'. Looks like it's genuine."Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

Have a look in the IE connections, see what is there.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Ok, sorted now. I went into the connection settings in IE
and set to not dial up and then the AOL software wouldn't
start(not that I use it) changed it back and hey presto
it works fine now.
I was a little worried about the popup box
but that must be genuine too.

It is genuine. I was speaking to AOL earlier because I keep getting disconnected and one their techie guys said it's a new service - just the way they do it now.0

I've had enough of AOL. Since they moved server I have trouble connecting and whenever I make or receive a telephone call then I lose my internet connection.
