New Id Experiences - have they unlawfully kept my money

I don't know about Coverlook but I've been to New ID a few times and never had any trouble x0

looking at their website,it says the deposit is fully refundable to secure your appointment.I would expect that to be the case.Did you have any other explaination beforehand in writing that said otherwise?
If not,and the contract was between you and them,I don't understand how they can even give another person information relating to what you paid, enabling them to knock this amount off the final bill.Surely what you paid, and what she was charged are completely seperate, and private?Have you seen the paperwork she signed?
You might want to discuss this with your bank or creditcard company,to see if the money has been illegally witheld.
This is my main concern, I haven't authorised them to use my money towards anything other than the refundable deposit. The less said about the MIL the better, yes she should have known better, but she was told the photo's were £40 each sign here........
Thanks everyone for your advice. I haven't had chance to thoroughly read it through yet, having problems with internet access.
I will keep it updated.Born and bred in Manchester (proud of it)

That REALLY good to hear, because I have bought 2 tickets for my DD & I to go for a wash, cut & blow dry, face makeover, nail polish paint & a small photo each.
But I'm puzzled why I still have to pay a deposit when I have already bought the tickets?0 -
I think it's just to cover themselves from people constantly rearranging and whatnot, I had a right old moan when I had to pay the deposit!!
Don't get me wrong, they do try and sell you the pictures. But, hey, you've had your hair and make up done.. Just use a good camera

I agree with nelly! I 'won' a photoshoot with Studio64 - cost us about £300 in the end, from a 'professional' - Afterwards, I touched up my makeup and took some home snaps, only 1 from the professional shoot was better!~*Cerenia*~
