  • Not being a 'morning person' myself, there is NO WAY I would agree to this either - in fact I wouldn't have applied for a job if those were the hours, so I sympathise with this person I'm afraid..... some people just don't function well early in the mornings, so their workload would probably not be up to scratch, or they would keep being late.... and the rest of you would not be happy if you felt you were 'carrying' them and they weren't doing their fair share.

    They are working the hours agreed when they signed their contract, and that's that - there's nothing in law that you can do about it. If your employer needed to change the hours for business reasons, that's a whole new ballgame...but as that's not the case then I'm afraid you have to grin & bear it.

    If you feel you need the extra time, then you can always get up early and do your housework or whatever beofre you go to work! With 24 hour supermarkets you can even get the shopping done LOL!
    The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
