Database for music list - help please

Hi

My husband currently has an excel spreadsheet with two columns - one for artist and one for title. He would like to sort it in alphabetical order, but if he sorts one column, the other won't then match.

One idea was to merge the cells, but if he wants to keep them seperate can anyone recommend a free (if poss) simple database to use.

If you sort in Excel, the other column will match.

In Excel select both columns by holding down the shift key and highlighting them both, then go to data, sort and select sort by column a it will then sort both columns with the correct data.

Switch AutoFilter on, then you have the flexibility to sort each column as you want, the sort A-Z and Z-A are at the top of the drop downs on the field names

AutoFilter is in the Tools or Data menu, depending on your versions.
